Has the program become so bloated that it is becoming unusable?  Time to start from scratch?

Hi @sdellap

I hope you're doing well! Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding the PDF issue you're having trouble.with.

To better assist you, could you please provide some additional information? Specifically:

  1. Is this problem occurring with a specific PDF file, or is it happening with all PDFs you're trying to open?

  2. If possible, try opening a different PDF file to see if the issue persists. If you're accessing the file from a shared network or drive, please download it to your local computer and attempt to open it from there.

  3. It would be incredibly helpful if you could provide a short video recording of the workflow you're following and the issue you're encountering. This visual representation will assist us in diagnosing the problem more accurately.

4.

Additionally, it's essential to know the version of Adobe Acrobat DC you're using. To check this:

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat DC.
  2. Navigate to the "Help" menu.
  3. Select "About Acrobat."

Please ensure that you have the most recent version (23.06.20320) installed. If not, you can check for updates by going to "Help" > "Check for updates." After updating, don't forget to restart your computer.

In case the issue persists, you might want to consider resetting the Acrobat preferences. You can follow the instructions in this Adobe Community thread: How to Reset Acrobat Preference Settings to Default.

If none of the above steps resolve the problem, you can try creating a new test user profile with full admin rights or enabling the root account on a Mac and attempting to use the application from there. This can help identify whether the issue is specific to your user profile.

Please provide the requested information and try these steps, and we'll do our best to assist you in resolving the PDF issue you're experiencing.
