ADOBE ACROBAT SEPTEMBER UPDATE COMPLETELY BROKEN!

Hi Adobe Team, 

 

not sure if you do have beta testers on your end but the new acrobat version is completely broken!

- unable to create pdfs from word -> only white pages

- unable to write numbers -> produces arabic signs

 

not turning off auto-update was the biggest mistake in my life and yes the option to revert to old adobe in the menu does not to anything to solve these issues. also why dont you allow to revert to the previous version?! currently installing a trial version of acrobat 2020 to continue my work. 

you are stealing my time and money! I am not your beta tester! 

 

Fix these issues at the soonest and test your software in-house before amending updates! Very disappointing!

    Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

     

    I tried to reproduce both the issues you shared, and the application is working fine at my end.

     

    Would you mind sharing more details about the workflow/steps you are taking to

    1. Create the PDF from Word

    2. Writing numbers and getting the Arabic signs

     A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.

     

    Please try to create the PDF from the Acrobat ribbon in MS Word at the top toolbar and see if that works for you. For more info. About creating the PDF please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/creating-simple-pdfs-acrobat.html

     

    As you have the updated version of the application, please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

    Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and check if that helps.

    Hi Amal and thanks for writing in. 

    I usually drag and drop the word documents right into adobe acrobat which used to work just fine. I have to merge a lot of documents so creating them from the ribbon (although functional) is quite a pain to do. The first page gets converted into pdf perfectly, the succeeding pages are all blank. Tried resetting the preferences with no luck. 

    As for the arabic signs that seems to be resolved magically.

    As another mysterie in the preview pane in adobe (the minimized view with all the merging documents side-by-side) all the individual pages are displayed correctly but when exporting the binder its still only the first page of each document with the rest of the pages of the respective document blank.
