Question

Adobe OCR editing line offset

When I use Adobe OCR to scan the text, it works fine. However, when I select another text type, the words and sometimes even parts of words are not on one line, but offset. I can't find a text editing function that unifies the typeface, here the text offset. Is that not possible?

Hi Thomass

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described, Adobe OCR editing line offset.

- What is the workflow/steps you are doing to use Adobe OCR? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.

- Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs, please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer first and then try again.

- What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.07.20099 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try using the application in the new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in MAC

Regards

Amal

Hello Amal,
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro basic version 20.1024
Acrobat offsets words a little above the line, for example, because the scan was not accurate due to the spine of the book. But Acrobat recognized the word but did not line it up because of the line skip. I now want to undo the formatting so that everything in the body text is editable at the same line height with the text tools of Acrobat.
