Acrobat DC also crashes every time under Yosemite.

Acrobat is the runt of Adobe's litter. What should be a great app is utterly useless.

Hi, I don't know if this was a non related issue but helped me. (Mac Pro mid 2009, 12GB, Mac OS X Yosemite)

As Adobe tech support technicians were busy, I try to figure out a workaround, but I didn't get anything so I ended in google looking for a way to merge various pictures into a single PDF, I found that Mac OS X Preview can do something similiar, just open all the picutres you want on the PDF, start a print and instead printing, choose to save every file into a single PDF, the first thing I noticed is that the images were upside down, in a second attempt I changed the orientation and get the picutres in the correct orientation but were somehow trimmed.

When Adobe technicians finally were free and helping me, they started a remote connection into my Mac, I merged the pictures into a single PDF using Acrobat Pro X and.... Nothing happened, Acrobat was working as it is supposed to work, I did several tests and nothing happened.

I hope this may be handy to all of us suffering with Adobe issues, BTW, adobe support were in a really great disposition to help, even they opened a ticket and it will remain open for 30 days, if something happened this issue can be take again and proper documented by Adobe side.

Acrobat XI is just a complete and utter disaster!

Horrendous, over-designed, unintuitive interface, plus laughable stability and crashing just like everyone is saying above. Whether we use it in OSX Lion, Mountain Lion, or El Capitan, it exhibits all the same behaviour above.

I'd seen similar behaviour in Premiere CC 2014.1 until Adobe completely overhauled it for Premiere CC 2015 where all the bugs were fixed.

I pine for the perfection of Acrobat 9 days - where it was the single most brilliant, most stable piece of software that Adobe had in their arsenal.

Come on Adobe, get your proper programmers onto Acrobat's team and sort this for us professionals. We pay you big dough every month now to put our businesses in your software hands.

See my recent post. I have experienced crashing on a regular basis and prior to the install of OSX 10.11. As alternatives to Acrobat, I have used Preview and Skim, however, even as a temporary measure, these apps seem to corrupt highlights, and some notations are not viewable.

It's a year after OP, a new release (Pro XI) and I have 10-20 Acrobat Pro crashes a day.  What a terrible product!

This problem has been ongoing for me, too. In looking through the message boards, it seems that the Adobe people are stumped (or unwilling to admit that there is something seriously flawed in the software). It's very disappointing and annoying, as I'm tired of losing work time either reloading Acrobat or jumping through message boards. Definitely ready to try alternatives at this point.

This is a known issue. Only Acrobat DC is stable in Yosemite and 10.11.

Sent from my iPad. Please excuse any errors.

Acrobat Pro XI hangs every single time I try to 'Save As'. It's just pathetic. I found the only way around it was to 'Save as other'
