Will Acrobat Pro 10.1.14 work with Yosemite?

Hi Gary,

Yosemite is not a tested environment for Acrobat 10.

I have seen users make it work on this OS though. You might face compatibility issues.

Rave, When will it be tested and compatible with OS X 10.10.x?

Been happening for months.  I'd hoped that getting a new Mac and new Adobe software would fix it, but no - it is worse.

Switch to Acrobat CC, which is stable on Yosemite.

My copy of Acrobat Pro XI has also been crashing endlessly and I am also running Yosemite. It crashes during searches. It crashes when I move the open window from my computer monitor to the attached monitor window. It hangs and needs force quitting often as well. I have been using alternative programs as well but they don't have the power of acrobat when it is working.

I have the exact same problem. Whenever I try to open another document, while the find window is open in a previously opened document, the program crashes. I try to remember to close the find window before opening new documents, but sometimes forget, especially when I am deeply involved and working quickly with a number of documents open. It is VERY frustrating to have the program crash at that time and then try to remember all of the documents that I need to open again. It is especially bad if I have not yet saved some of the open documents and can't remember them all. This is a nasty problem, but I seem to be training myself to close the find windows before opening new documents. This should not be necessary. If anyone knows a solution, please post it. Thanks.

Once, it quits the Abobe Application Manger opens asking to Accept..

Look at screen shot, there is nothing there, drop down nothing, the accept button wont accept.. then only allows you to quit..

This in regards to same problem from everyone above...

I'm also getting repeated crashes using Acrobat Pro 11.0.10 on Yosemite (10.10.2). This typically happens after I open a bunch of files and roam around them. The crash happens when I open a new file and is inconsistent - sometimes happens, sometimes doesn't.

I looked in the console and every single time I open a pdf file I get the following error message:

CoreServicesUIAgent[328]Error -60005 creating authorization

I'm currently logged in CC and I can update applications no problems. Any ideas?

Thanks!

The answer is very simple: Acrobat Pro XI is incompatible with Yosemite. Adobe hasn't publicly admitted this (or offered a fix), but it is the plain truth.

If you are using Acrobat XI, you should look to other software (e.g. Preview, free with OS X, or other commercial alternatives).

I still have Mavericks, latest patches, Acrobat  Pro 11.0.10 crashes after 3-4 docs are opened, nothing fancy otherwise, previous version did not crash.

I have the same problem as tomgafford: Acrobat XI w/ Mavericks crashes, specifically when you double-click a second PDF doc while another one is open (even if the second one is quite small--384K just a moment ago).

Yes, this seems to stem from problems with Acrobat handling memory issues--and, yes, you'd think it would have be seen and resolved during testing. Does Adobe do testing any more, or does the company just crowd-source testing after products are released?

I too am having the same problem, as reported in thread 1679383 (Acrobat Pro 11.0.10 keeps crashing on Yosemite 10.10.1)

Me too.  Terribly annoying and frustrating - where do these crash reports go to?  I must have sent a hundred by now from my machine.

I'm sick and tired of Adobe putting out crap products that fail utterly and repeatedly. I've flagged this issue on this forum several times in the past several months.

My machine's two cents' worth:
