Cannot add priviledged locations or files

I am trying to add a folder to priviledged locations in Security(Enhanced) tab of preferences in Acrobat Reader. But I am not able to do so, after I add the folder and exit preferences, acrobat forgets that I added anything, just shows empty list and files inside the folder are not granted priviledge.

My OS : Windows 11 Home 21H2

Acrobat Reader DC Version : 2021.007.20099 | 64 bit

There are no updates available both are the latest builds.

Please help me with this issue

I unistalled and reinstalled and did the repair as well, it did not work. I found this on a very old post here, someone was complaining that they could not save preferences. That was exact issue, the OK button is glitched on smaller screens, even if there is a scroll bar on the right, it sometimes doesn't reveal the OK and cancel button, but after trying 2-3 times it shows it. I was using a laptop so screen size cant be big enough, please fix this issue.

Hi Sameer

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described, you cannot add privileged locations or file.

Please try to repair the installation from the help menu and reboot the computer once.

Also reset the Acrobat preferences as described here - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there and check.

Regards

Amal
