Cannot overwrite acrobat file without save as
I am using acrobat pro on a mac. When I am using Pages or my drafting program, AutoCAD, and I revise a file and then print a pdf of that file it does not overwrite the previous file, even though I always get a message reminding me that there exists a file of that name and asking me if I want to overwrite it. I am always forced to change the name of the file to make the pdf.
I have found that if I quit and reopen acrobat I do not have the problem, but that of course is not convenient.
Why is this happening? It is very disruptive to my workflow.
