Hi,

If I "Enabling PDF thumbnail previews" so I can see the first page of documents saved on my desktop, whenever I exit the reader I get an error when I exit the reader "Acrobat quit unexpectantly".

Remove the 'previews' and there are no failures on exit.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks, Graham.

Hi @Graham35636156l833

I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for getting in touch.

I've taken a look into the issue on my end, and everything seems to be functioning as expected.

Could you please provide me with the version of Adobe Acrobat DC you are currently using? You can find this information by navigating to Help > About Acrobat. It's important to ensure you have the most recent version installed, which should be 23.08.20533. If not, you can check for updates by going to Help > Check for Updates and then reboot your computer once the update is complete.

Additionally, on Windows, you can try repairing the installation from the Help menu and see if that resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, I recommend resetting the Acrobat preferences. You can follow the steps outlined in this guide: How to Reset Acrobat Preference Settings to Default.

Please give these suggestions a try and let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks for your help, appreciated.

The version is 2023.008.20555 64 bit.

I've tried a repair before I asked the question.

I've tried to reset the preferences, but don't appear o have the file ? See attached image.

Any thoughts ?

Regards, Graham.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that the issue still persists, Would you mind collecting the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html  , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html  and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

Regards
Amal
