error in conversion from pdf to xml

Hello everyone. We are having trouble converting a pdf with more than 2 pages to xml. When we have 2 pages or less, the xml is generated correctly. When there are more than 2, it doesn't work. the adobe version is acrobat 2017. the file contains text and images. Has anyone had this problem?

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues while exportng the PDF to XML.

 

We need some more information for a better understanding:

 

  • What is the version of Adobe Acrobat 2017 you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat
    Also, make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.
  • Do you get any error message/code while exporting the PDF  to XML? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same.

 

If its a file specific issue, please try with a different file and check also, please share the sample file with us for testing.

hi im having trouble converting pdf files to xml. i only have the csv format option and no other

Hi there,

 

Hope you are doing well, would you mind sharing a small video recording of the steps you are doing to convert PDF to XML?

 

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20555 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the direct link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and check.
