Question

Export, Convert or Save as Word loosing data

Hey,

Hope you can help me with this issue. I have a Windows system and when I try to export/convert or save to a Word version I loose part of the information like tables or paragraphs. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro (64-bit). I tried different solutions and, currently, have the option of "Retain page layout" selected in the Edit-Preferences-Convert from PDF-Word. However, I don't find anything that works and retains all the information. However, if I use outside tools/websites I can convert it with no lose of information.

If you know any solution, please let me know!

Thank you!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.03.20215 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to export the PDF via online using the link https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
