Question

Extracted pages won't save (are .tmp)

Just recently when I extract a page (tried on multiple different pdf files)  the new "pages from X" file remains as a .tmp file.  When I try to save this new file of extracted pages, it opens the "save as pdf" window and asks which folder/location I want.  When I click a folder,  the window closes and nothing gets saved.  A check of properties shows it's still a .tmp.  Mac Catalina,  Acrobat Pro DC 2020.012.20043.396433 . All updates installed.  Help!

Hi Katherine

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the extracted pages are .tmp and nothing gets saved

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to extract the PDF pages? For information about page extraction please check out the help page - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/manipulating-deleting-renumbering-pdf-pages.html#extract_pages_in_a_pdf

As we can see you are using quite an old version of Acrobat Pro DC, please get the application updated to the latest version 21.01.20155 an reboot the computer once and see if that helps. Go to Help > Check for updates.

If it still doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat Preferences to default as described in the help page - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

Regards

Amal
