Hand Tool not working

Question

I am running Acrobat Pro DC, Version 2021.007.20099.  My hand tool will not work, when I try to use it the entire document turns blue or it starts to draw a blue square, help please!

Hi Amal, I toggled the basic tool "Make Hand Tool select text & images", on then off and it fixed my hand tool, why or how this worked I have no clue but my hand tool is working like it used to, in all documents.  Thanks for trying to help!

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the hand tool is not working and turn blue or starts to draw blue square.

What is the version of the OS you are using?

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. A small video recording of the issue would be very helpful.

Please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and reboot the computer once.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works.

Yo may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there.
