Highlight tool - stops highlighting after one highlight

Hi, 

Before, I could turn on the highlight tool and keep highlighting throughout a text. Buy now, this tool disables automatically after highlighting once, so I have to click on it every time I want to highlight something instead clicking once and highlighting many things. How can I fix this?

      Hi there

       

      Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, highlight tool stops after one highlight.

       

      What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.01.20142 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once. 

       

      You may also try to repair the installation (Windows Only) and see if that works. Go to Help > Repair Installation.

       

      If it still doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences to default as described in the help page: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and check
