I am on the most up to date version please can you explain why this is happening? I have tried three different printers and they all print blank pages. The print preview within the app shows only blank pages as well

Make sure on your Print dialog box that the Comments & Forms drop down at the bottom is not set to Form Fields Only. It should be set to Document and Markups.

If print preview is already blank inside Acrobat, the issue is not your printer. It is how Acrobat is rendering the PDF.

    Most likely reasons:

    • Rendering bug or incompatibility
Acrobat fails to interpret the PDF content, so it sends empty data to preview and printer

    • Layers or transparency issue
Content exists but Acrobat hides it during print rendering
This is a common cause of blank prints

    • Forms setting wrong
If “print form fields only” is selected, pages appear blank

    • Corrupt or non standard PDF structure
Other apps show it, Acrobat rejects parts of it

    Quick fix:

    • Print → Advanced → Print as Image

    • Or re save as PDF to flatten it

In short: Acrobat cannot properly render the file, so preview and print both show blank.

    Hi Jon Birkett,

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry for the trouble you've experienced.

If all printers are producing blank pages and the Print Preview in your application is also blank, it suggests that the issue occurs before the print job reaches the printer. This is usually related to how the document content is being rendered.

Please check whether this happens with all files or only specific ones. This information will help us determine if the issue is file-specific.

In the meantime, could you please try printing using the "Print as Image" option? Here’s how:

    1. Go to File > Print.
    2. Click on Advanced.
    3. Enable Print as Image.
    4. Set the resolution to 300 dpi.
    5. Try printing again.

You might also want to save a new copy of the file by following these steps:

    1. Open Acrobat.
    2. Select Menu > File > Save As (Windows) or File > Save As(macOS).
    3. Rename the file using only letters and numbers.
    4. Open the newly saved file in Acrobat.
    5. Select Print from the top bar.
    6. Click on Print again.

Additionally, you can refer to the troubleshooting steps suggested here: https://adobe.ly/4bu1U5P.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Meenakshi

Your pdf may have a layer with the property set to “Never Prints”

Ok none of those work for me. I have been using Adobe for years and have not changed the way we create PDF’s. I am using the same printer that was working with PDF’s till two weeks ago. Its a bit annoying that I can create combined pdf files but then have to open it in Microsoft Edge to print it.
