In Acrobat DC, changing Text Field Properties>General>Common Properties>Form Field from Visible to Hidden, I can no longer click in the field and enter data. Is there a workaround?

Running Acrobat DC on a Win 7 Pro desktop PC, I'm editing a .PDF form that I created in Acrobat DC from an imported Excel spreadsheet. When changing a Form Field's Text Field Properties>General tab>Common Properties>Form Field from Visible to Hidden, I can no longer click in the field and enter data, even though the cursor location appears to be in the appropriate field onscreen. No other properties were changed, Is there a workaround? Thank You.

No. A hidden field can't be interacted with directly. Why did you hide it?

To clarify my initial question: Acrobat Help describes the purpose of the Form Field setting thusly:

"Form Field

Specifies whether the form field can be seen, either on screen or in print. The choices are: Visible, Hidden, Visible But Doesn’t Print, and Hidden But Printable."

The form I'm working in includes several Required Fields (default: red borders). I changed the value of the Form Field setting from Visible to Hidden because I wanted to hide the appearance of the borders.

So make it not required, instead.
