MICROSOFT UPDATE CREATED CORE DLL PROBLEM WITH ADOBE

The most recent large mandatory update to windows has created a constant error message on several programs: 0cx000012f.   When I try to open Adobe Acrobat, I get that error message from MS then an error message from the program saying it failed to load the "core DLL".
I can't use adobe. Problem also occurs on several other programs like Sony Vegas Studio.
Your chat agent had no clue. I can't be the only person experiencing this out of all the windows based Adobe clients. It's a pretty major glitch!

Sometimes that has nothing to do with Acrobat but the operating system updates that run unattended in the background changes things without the user consent.

Normally when that happens a .Net redistributable might've change where the core dll's used to be registered. When your Acrobat application calls for it during load-up it doesn;t finds it, even thought the dll is there somewhere in another directory.

Please see this discussion about the same issues that AdobeXD users were experiencing after Windows or Acrobat updates took place in their machines.
