Question

My e-signature name is incorrect-no success in trying to change it

I've followed the instructions on other posts and videos, but have had no success in getting my correct name (Kitty Norton) to come up on e-signature documents I am sending out. Instead it comes up with my old screen name, Kittastrophy Prone.

I have:

  • Logged into my Adobe Account, the profile name is correct in both Profile Name and Account Name
  • Logged into Adobe Acrobat Sign, then clicked on my name in the upper right corner, then clicked on Manage Account, from there I've tried Account and security in the menu at the top of the page - all instances of my name are correct. And I've also tried Edit Profile from the right side menu, all instances of my name there are correct also.

I can not find any instance of the incorrect name anywhere that is appearing in the e-signature documents I'm sending. Assistance is appreciated.

Kitty

Hi @kittastrophyp60364486,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

In case you are still looking for a solution, here are a few steps to try and resolve this:

Acrobat Sign sometimes stores cached information about previous signatures, which may be why your old name is still appearing. Here’s how to fix it:

  • Go to Acrobat Sign.
  • In the upper right corner, click on your profile icon.
  • Select Manage Account.
  • On the left panel, under Profile, you may see a section for Signature Settings or My Signature.
  • If there is an old signature or name saved, delete it or update it to reflect your current name, Kitty Norton.

If you can't find your old signature here, proceed to the next steps.

If you've tried changing the name in the profile but still see the old screen name in your e-signature, it's possible that your e-signature itself hasn’t been updated.

  • In Acrobat Sign, go to the document you are sending for signature.
  • Look for the Signature field, and select it to edit or update the name.
  • You should be able to delete or edit the signature. Remove any cached or incorrect version and add your correct name, Kitty Norton.

Sometimes the incorrect name can be tied to the signature itself instead of just the account name. Follow these steps:

  • In Acrobat Sign, go to Profile from the menu (under your name in the top-right corner).
  • Find the Signature Settings and look for the "Display name" and "Signature" fields.
  • Make sure both the display name and the signature field show your correct name, Kitty Norton.

After making these changes, it's a good idea to log out and log back in. This refresh can help reset any lingering settings or cache that might be causing the wrong name to display.

Hope this helps.
