New Acrobat Reader (NOT Pro) DC experience - How do I edit the Quick Toolbar

I have tried multiple ways and Google it for over 30 minutes now and cannot find a way to edit the Quick Toolbar in READER.

I found the steps to do this here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/new-acrobat-experience.html under ADD MORE TOOLS. The steps make sence to me yet it does not work on my READER version. Does this only work in Pro?

On the Quick Toolbar, if I hover over the '...' at the bottom, a flyout showing 'Add, Remove, or Reorder Tools' appears yet I cannot select it. Once I move off the '...', the flyout goes away.

Grrrrrrr - This is so frustrating!

I don't want to switch back to the original experience yet may have to to use my custom toolbar.

Hi @GregAtTheBruceCompany

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

What is the version of the Acrobat Reader you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.01.206XX installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the direct link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Let us know how it goes.
