Newest Version of Acrobat

I have installed the newest version of Acrobat and I am NOT happy.  Between the latest windows update and this - my computer has been held hostage for almost a week.  Acrobat is stalling continually and taking forever to save.  The views have all changed forcing me to redesign my "desktop" and add all the items I use all the time to a new tool bar.  Something as simple as the placement of the tool menu  - moving from the right side of my screen to the left - is a HUGE issue for me and takes away from my productivity.   I want to revert back to an older version and will be looking into the previous discussions on line to find a way to do that.

I am having the same issues. All of my many forms can not be edited anymore. They can not be refromated. I cant find any help. I tried the fix to go to options at top left and it does not appear. I wish there was someone to call. I want to get back the old format. I have dozens of fillible forms. All my existing forms tthat are filled can not be  updated.

Hi @Glenn332200710fow

Hope you are doing well.

What happens when you try to edit the PDF form? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same. Also, a small video recording of the step you are doing and the issue would be very helpful.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.06.20360 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

for testing, please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Let us know how it goes.

The latest version was downloaded 0n 10-19-2023 Adobe Acrobat 64-bit.  the attachment was a fillable form that I used for three years it no longer can be changed. youe can see the line work is messed up. When I try to edit it does not allow my to remove text, it does not allow me to aadd of remove line work.  I also have a fillable forms that I have used and when I now open them I can not edit or clear text. I just want the old version back. My employer continues to use the previous version because they don't want to have a dozen people trying to re-learn adobe. I have created a complete folder of construction services documents that I can not work with while working remotely.

To go back to the old UI click the Options button at the top left corner (Windows) or open the View menu (Mac) and select Disable New Acrobat.
And you can vote here to get rid of it: https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/47082691-ditch-the-2023-user-interface-in-acrobat
