Not responding constantly, opening docs, help menu? Fix?

Hi,

I am thinking of just giving up.  Acrobat constantly freezes.  If shows not responding at the top of the screen.   I am so sick of this.  Is it by design because there are a lot of other viewers that do not freeze up constantly?  I am using a PC with windows 10 pro, 32GB RAM and an i5 processor.  Even my 600pg car manual should not slow this down.  What gives?

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

 

Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.07.20099 . Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer

 

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu > Repair installation.

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there and check.
