Question

Numbers in cells will not export from PDF to Excel

I have been getting the same results when converting a PDF to an Excel file in Adobe Reader, it seems to be converting the template itself but not the numeric data in the cells. I have tried converting the PDF to a .tiff to increase the resolution for better results but that only converted to an unreadable mess of unicode characters. Any ideas what could be causing this issue? I have included screenshots of the PDF and Excel with blank data. Thank you in advance.

Hi Tina

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

I have traced an Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Subscription under the email you are using on this community.  Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file? or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer first and try again.

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works
