Question

PDF Portfolio does not open with Acrobat PRO DC on mac

I was sent a PDF portfolio by email and also shared by sharepoint. In both cases, only a cover image appears with the message "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later." I have the latest version of Acrobat PRO DC and it only displays a blank tab. If I click on Portfolio properties I see that it has only one page, while it's actually 18MB of data. My colleagues tell me that they can open the file without issue on their Windows machines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Adrian

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described you are unable to open the PDF portfolio on MAC.

Would you mind sharing the steps you are doing to open the PDF portfolio? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.

Please download the PDF portfolio on your MAC locally and then try to open it and check.

Also make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check the result.

Regards

Amal
