Save As taking forever to load Windows File browser

I've been looking into this for a couple hours now and have no luck. I am running Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2022.001.20142 64-bit on multiple machines. The first time I open any pdf and choose to save as, it takes forever to load the file browser. This is with online storage view turned off. I have tried all the suggested changes in preferences and none have resolved the issue. It does not occur when I am disconnected from the internet. I have tried disabling OneDrive or any other cloud storage with no change. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Hi Adam

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer first and then try again.

As you have the recent version of the application , please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

You may also try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only). Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > uncheck 'Enable Protected mode at startup' Turn off the protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security > Click OK and reboot the computer once.

Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Regards

Amal
