Share tool gone

How do I get the share tools back on? I am able to share using the online version of Adobe pro but not on the desktop version. Was this done away with? Before I would be able to directly click on the email image and it would prompt an email to open up with the link already generated in the body of the email. All I had to do was enter the email addresses.

Currently using the upload function on the online version of adobe but its more efficient for me to use the desktop option.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Are you able to see the share tool in Acrobat Pro and that it is not working or is it not available/visible at all?

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure yo have the recent version 22.1.20142 installed. Go to help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Please try to repair the installatio from the help menu (Windows only)

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works.

Regards

Amal

All 3 of the buttons do not appear (link/email/share)

I have version 2022.001.20142; I have checked for updates and rebooted. I have also tried repairing. I did uninstall and reinstall but it still does not appear. I have also reset the preferences.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat Cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Regards

Amal
