I was trying to do a simple edit inside a pdf, and when I hit the text box, I couldn't get it off bold, and then it kept defaulting to a wingding.. Very frustrating.. I am not a fan of the new layout, Its just not great.

Hi @JeanmarieT

I hope you're doing well, and I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with Acrobat DC. To assist you better, could you please provide more details about the problem? If possible, a short video recording demonstrating the issue would be incredibly helpful.

Is this problem specific to a particular PDF file, or does it occur with all PDFs? It's a good idea to test it with a different PDF file to see if the issue persists. If the file is on a shared network or drive, try downloading it to your local computer and then opening it with Acrobat.

To ensure you have the latest version, check by going to Help > About Acrobat. Make sure you have version 23.06.20320 installed. You can also check for updates by going to Help > Check for updates. After updating, please reboot your computer.

If you're using Windows, you can attempt to repair the installation from the Help menu (this option is available only on Windows).

Additionally, you might want to try resetting Acrobat preferences to their default settings. Instructions for doing this can be found here: Reset Acrobat Preferences.

As a further troubleshooting step, consider creating a new test user profile with full admin rights on Windows or enabling the root account on macOS. Try using Acrobat in this new environment to see if the issue persists.

I hope these steps help resolve the problem you're facing. Please let me know if you have any further questions or if you need more assistance.
