Question

True purple only prints on first page

I always print from a pdf in Adobe Acrobat. To get true purple, I have to change the print settings to "Photo (Adobe RGB 1998)". In multi-page documents, only the first page comes out purple, the rest of the pages look blue. Even when printing multiple copies, only the first page printed of each copy turns out purple. I even tried printing 2 copies of the 2nd page only. Both purple.

I'm printing on an HP Enterprise M553, but I think  after my last troubleshooting test (the multi-copies of page 2) it has to be an adobe issue, not the printer.

Hi @Mac32687035heeq

I hope you're doing well. I'm sorry to hear about the printing issue you're experiencing. To help you resolve this problem, please follow these steps:

  1. Test with a Different PDF: First, try printing a different PDF file to determine if the issue is specific to one document or affecting all PDFs.

  2. Check Software Versions: Verify that you're using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC, which should be 23.06.20320. You can check this by going to "Help" > "About Acrobat." If you have an older version, try updating by going to "Help" > "Check for updates."

  3. Update Printer Drivers and Firmware: Ensure that your printer drivers and firmware are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Check for any pending updates for your printer's software and firmware.

  4. Print as an Image: Attempt to print the PDF as an image. Open the PDF, go to "Print," then click "Advanced" and select "Print as an Image." See if this resolves the problem.

  5. Repair Installation (Windows Only): If you're on Windows, you can try repairing the Adobe Acrobat installation. You can do this from the Help menu.

  6. Reset Acrobat Preferences: Follow the steps in this guide to reset Acrobat preferences to default settings.

  7. Test with a New User Profile: Create a new user profile with full admin rights on Windows, or enable the root account on macOS. Install Adobe Acrobat on this new profile and see if the issue persists.

Please give these steps a try, and let us know the results. If you continue to face problems, don't hesitate to reach out.
