I went to reply to a question  I had posted on 1/23 and I could not find it.  Was the question removed?

Unable to open a PDF receipt in Acrobat 9 PRO

Hello, I hope you are doing well and thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry for the trouble you had.

Thanks for the update. I’m glad you were able to find a workaround by opening the receipt in your browser and printing it to PDF.

I understand your concerns about Acrobat 9 reaching the end of support and the shift to subscription-based versions. Even though it still works for your needs, certain newer PDFs may not open properly due to updated standards.

Today is the second day or the new forum software. I copied this from the link below:

“All posts, replies, solutions, feature requests, and bug reports created on or before November 16 are already available. Content created between November 17 and launch day will be added soon—no data will be lost, and you won’t need to recreate anything.”

You can wait until your post reappears or repost your question.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 reached its official end of support thirteen years ago on June 26, 2013.

If you have access to a current version of the free Acrobat Reader, can you try that and tell us if it opens? There might be something in the PDF that is not backwards compatible, so it’s worth a test.

I did find a work around.  Open the receipt in my browser and select print to PDF and that one I was able to open.

I know 9 reached it end per Adobe, but it still works fine for my uses and I am not shelling out the money for a new version witch I understand is now subscription only, what a money maker for Adobe.  This incident was the first I ever encountered where it did not work.  As far as Acrobat Reader, no thank you, I cannot handle all the ads.  I stopped watching TV because of all the ads and I use software to stop the ads on my browsers.

There do seem to be some ‘disappeared’ posts.  I doubt they were deleted, but they are in the process of changing over the forum software, and we are seeing some glitches.  I would post your question again to be safe.  No one is going to complain about possible double-posting at the current time.
