Question

Unable to save my PDFs or Edit them

When I open my PDFs in Acrobat on my computer and I go to edit the page, the edit portion won't load. I can edit text but there's no option box to create new text boxes, I can only change the ones already there. When I go to save the document the pop up box for me to select where to save on my computer won't load as well. I am having to edit my documents on Acrobat online and download them... or Print to PDF my documents on my desktop app.

Here are photo examples:

This is what shows up when I try to save - blank and never loads:

This is what shows up when I click "Edit" - nothing loads to edit font/text/edit options:

Is anyone else struggling with this?

Hi @autumn355093514iuc

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

For Editing Issue

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20736 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

For Saving Issue:

Go to preferences (Ctrl,Cmd + K ) > General > Uncheck, 'Show online storage when saving files' and 'Show online storage when opening files' > Click OK and reboot the computer once.
