When saving a PDF - File Names occasionally drop decimals

For my business, i typically save all PDF Invoices with date, supplier name and the amount of the invoice.

Most of the time it works great, however sometimes invoices that are saved with a decimals of .00 or .40 the decimals are dropped so the number is rounded with no decimals....and the file is saved with a red highlighted Acrobat Icon.  It's only these 2 numbers and it's only occasionally.....can't figure it out....

why would this be....any ideas?

Try typing .PDF at the end of the file name (including the dot). It's always allowed, but for names with a dot in then it can keep apps from getting confused.

Hi Jackali

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, saving the PDF file with decimals , the decimals are dropped off .

I have tried to reproduce the issue on my end and its working fine.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082 and see if that works

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Regards
