Windows Installer runs every time I start up Acrobat?

Lately, every time I start up Adobe Acrobat it goes through a Windows Installer process. Sometimes this happens 5+ time a day. I have to wiat 30-45 seconds every time to use the application. Certainly not a huge issue but it should work this way.

 

Any suggestions?

The fix is available with the latest update of Acrobat & Reader DC Continuous track: Adobe Acrobat and Reader - 21.007.2009x Optional update.

 

Please install the latest patch, and let us know if you experience any issues.

    Well, the patch appears to fix the OOM and Windows Installer issues...

     

    ...but CLEARS THE USER'S TOOLBAR OF ANY CUSTOMIZATIONS.

     

    Guess someone there didn't test yet another patch.  So frustrating.

    Same issue, but with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

    Everytime I start the application, Windows Installer runs.

    Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.

    This issue has already been reported to Engineering team. The team is actively looking into it. As soon as a fix is available, will keep you posted.

    For some additional information, windows installer runs each time I launch the application directly from the Adobe Acrobat DC shortcut.  However, it does not seem to run if I select multiple pdf files and "combine files with Adobe".
