Question

Something we all can relate to part 2

The new forum needs a little bit of humor to release the tension of the changeover, so I've started part 2 of the old thread so that we don't have to keep scrollong to the end of the old thread.

If it gets too long before the "go to the latest reply" issue is resolved, I can lock this thread and link to a part 3 thread.

What do you think?

In a plumbing fitting catalog (Why bother to show an image?):

My guess is that a CG similation would give a better detail than a product photo. Older catalogues would use line drawings of that fitting. Still, in the case of a 3D model the maker would need to make that clear in a disclaimer.

Just came across this cute personification of Creative Cloud from Japan's Pixiv site.  Some parts of Pixiv are NSFW, so browse with caution.

I didn't think that was an allowable use of the Adobe logo.

This is way out of my legal expertise, Bob, but seems Adobe Japan is ok with it.

    Seems tongue in cheek:

Anything that will mitigate our reliance on petroleum is a win, plus as I understand this article, 90% of minerals in the EV batteries can be recycled.

Yup. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Isn't mineral mining Wyoming's chief resource?

On a related note, I understand EV replacement batteries are very expensive ($23 K installed).  I hope never to have to replace one.

I don’t mean to be a Grinch, however.... to those of you who are
placing Christmas lights/decorations in your yards, would you please
avoid anything that has Red / Blue flashing lights together!! Every
time I come around the corner, I think it's the police. I have to
brake hard, toss my margarita out the window, fasten my seat belt,
throw my phone on the floor, turn my radio down, and push the gun
under the seat. All while trying to drive. It's just too much drama,
even for Christmas. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

How is it working to avoid a ticket by having a lifelike blow up doll in the passenger seat while driving in the restricted lane on the highway?
