Hah! As some of you know, I used to be a model. On the set in this pic of me below, the food stylist sprayed hairspray on the celery. She told me she's also sprayed shellac on food such as apples, and has used glass blocks instead of ice cubes and I forget what she said they used instead of ice cream but it was sickening hah. The shoot can drag on for hours, and ice cubes and ice cream melt. They have very interesting tricks.    -edit typo

Double OUCH!!

When I lived in Chicago, Jacqueline Bisset went to a new trendy restaurant, and the waitress asked her, "Has anyone ever told you you look like an older version of Jacqueline Bisset?"  It was in Irv Kupcinet's column the next day. I always wondered if she got fired.

Ha! You have to wonder what on earth happened to cause them to do this. I once had a blow dryer with a tag that said "DO NOT USE IN BATHTUB"    Duh.
