I checked a font family out called Eina 03, I liked it to use on a branding project, however I don't have budget to buy that specific font specially considering that I'm in Brazil and here the dolars cost an arm and a leg. Here is the font: https://www.fonts.com/font/textaxis/eina/03-family-pack Bearing that in mind and I'm sure the Adobe's forum is visited by awesome and expert professionals, I'd like to ask you about some fonts you may know that could be a similar match to the mentioned one above, and not, I'm not considering helvetica or its "neue" variation, because I need something a little bit original. What could you suggest me??Thanks

Hi,If anyone can help me with this that would be great!Does anyone know if there is a system/functionality/software available that lets you prints fonts with the keyline/cutout automatically generated. Here is a basically flow of how it would work.Output example - wall vinylUser interface - user selects font and inputs custom text, user sends text to print.Text is then generated with automatically generated keyline/cutout. Vinyl is then printed cutoutHope that make senseAny ideas?
Can anyone help me identify the ampersand? The names are in Hoefler Text Regular, but the ampersand doesn't match any of the font styles. Many thanks.
My order history doesn't show an order for a Font that I purchased and I can't seem to find a download link.
Fonts won't open - wheel spins constantly so I can't connect to Typekit. This means that the fonts in my InDesign folders are all defaulting. I've tried to restart and I've deleted the opm.db file and restarted. No good. Has any one got any ideas?
I opened up some old InDesign files and got a message "New Century Schoolbook LT Std Pro" can't be found. In the interest of speed (because my very cheap LG-brand CD can't read some discs) I swapped out Std Pro with non-Pro, but then I figured it can't cost that much so I'd just rebuy it for later. This face, pro or non-pro, has been around and part of the Adobe library since the days of yesteryear, but I went to Typekit and not even the two words "New Century" could be found. Not even in good-old Type 1. I have not bought a new face in a very long time, and I can't afford the Folio 11 for $3K, so what happened? I recall Adobe jettisoned the Berthold family years ago, but has there been another sea change I slept through? Was NC Schoolbook a part of Berthold? In a similar vein, take Myriad for example. Time was where you could buy the entire family; now, you can buy some individual and some are free, but there is no option I can see where "look, I just want the whole family."So basically
We're having to create a business card template that people can open up and type in their own info for name, ph#, etc. We originally designed the card to use Proxima Nova fonts, but now we're being asked to create this template so other people around the world can easily make their own.The problem we've encountered is: yes, there's a whole slew of fonts that are able to be embedded into a PDF, BUT the ability to also have that font be editable seems to elude us - it seems to require special permissions set in the font file. Just wondering if there's any sort of resource that has a list of fonts that are editable and embeddable in a PDF?Thanks!
I work in IT at a University. The Geography department wants to use Myriad Pro in some cartography. The professor noticed that the Myriad font file is included with Adobe Reader (which is installed on many computers on campus). They want me to use this font file to install Myriad Pro as a "system font" that can be used inside other applications like Microsoft Word or their Cartography program. Is this type of usage allowed? Thanks~Tom
I've purchased a number of fonts from Adobe over the past 16 years. They all show up in my Registered Products list in my Adobe account. My Order History only shows 3 orders, though, and is missing all but one of the fonts listed in the Registered Products area.I need to re-download all of the fonts that I've purchased, but I can't figure out where to access them.I called the Adobe help line, and they told me to post here for assistance.Thank you.
I am running Mac OS X High Sierra (10.13.6). I have many Illustrator files that were created in Adobe CS3 that use Myriad Roman. When I open them in Adobe Creative Cloud Illustrator, I am told that Myriad Roman is missing. I have read that Myriad Pro is an equivalent font but it doesn't show up in the list of fonts to use as substitutions. I have checked in the Font Book application and Myriad Pro is installed and active. Is there a script that will convert all my files using Myriad Roman to use Myriad Pro?
Hi there!Yes, you’re right – here’s another one of those questions regarding »LATIN CAPITAL LETTER SHARP S« (ẞ):Is there a small caps version of that letter? Any unicode entry for it? Should be named something like 'LATIN CAPITAL LETTER SMALL CAPITAL SHARP S' or so. Any clue?Thank you –Klaus
After upgrading to Office 2016, Adobe Caslon Pro True Type Font is not appearing correctly within Word. Unless using exact spacing, the document prints (and converts to PDF) with different spacing than appears on-screen in Word. For example, if I am using single spacing and format a document so it fits perfectly on a single page, when I print the document, it prints on two pages. This is new to Word 2016; I did not have this issue with any previous versions of Word. Does anyone know why is this happening and if there is a timeline for a solution? Does the font need to be updated somehow?
Hi there, I have a Type 1 font which is listed in my Font Folder as "GCRevere". It's a dingbat font, music style. I went to update to OTF and couldn't find it. Now I can't find any reference to it either on the Adobe sites or even just through a general google search (well, it did come up as just "Revere" music font deep down in a thread on the Sibelius forums).So. What happened to this font? How did its very existence get wiped off the entire world wide web? And has it been replaced by something else?Since I use it, and can't use it on my MACs, I need to replace it.thanks for any pointers, david
Hi, Is it possible to download the edge web fonts to a local computer and work locally with them? I know that with typekit is possible, but what about edge web fonts? What I want is to see the fonts rendered on the web site project.Thanks.
Why I cannot use Thai Font alphabet?
I got this artwork from another designer but all font was outlined. I need to make some edits but can't find the font. Does anyone recognize it? Thanks in advanced!
I bought Adobe Font Folio a while back. Today, I noticed I have duplicate fonts, one ending in "Pro" and the other ending "Pr6N" (I am referring specifically to Kozuka Gothic & Kozuka Minchin fonts, if it matters). How in the world did this happen? Which one should I delete?
Following the installation of the infamous Win10(1803) creator update Is was no longer able to print certain documents from MS WORD 2016 (win 64)Problematic documents were spooling an abnormal 1.26kb file automatically deleted and not getting to the printer. After trying to unsuccessfully troubleshoot the usual suspects (drivers , spooling etc) I narrowed the issue the issue down to the fonts ! : As soon as I use, Adobe Caslon Pro font (among others) printing would fail.=> saving to pdf and then printing from adobe acrobat WORKS=> reverting to ms word 2013 & keeping Win10(1803) WORKS=> reverting to previous windows version Win10(17xx) WORKS=> uninstalling and re installing the font manually (via install font) DOES NOT WORK=> using different printers or drivers (XEROX or HP) DOES NOT WORKSuggestions or help welcome
Front-end development is a tricky business and it can be a very ungrateful job. A developer that has studied engineering or computer science does this kind of code easily but, by the end of it, there are always way too many details to correct and, yes, they often concern typography issues. This is because there's a clear discrepancy between the designer’s expectations and the developer’s perception of the work being done. In other words, generally speaking, the designer sees a bunch of things that the developer doesn’t.The designer looks at the work that the developer has produced and the corrections start pouring: “This typeface doesn’t have the right weight”, “This title should be uppercase”, “The character spacing is wrong”, and so on.That’s why I’m sharing this typography tutorial that I find very helpful to get started on this subject and avoid future discussions in the process of applying your ideas:https://www.imaginarycloud.com/blog/a-typography-workshop/
I am trying to find a font I used after I converted it to outlines. Is this possible? I have gone through the fonts and can't find it.
At my job (creating forms and form instructions for a state tax agency) I have literally thousands of files, primarily in QuarkXPress on Mac, which I've been updating gradually over many years. Recent Mac OS upgrades have been causing font instability, which, upon researching, I learn is due to most of our fonts being original Type 1's. When the Mac platform began to favor OpenType in place of Type 1 I never got the memo, and had no particular problems until, as I say, recent OS upgrades. I now face the task of needing to replace the eight basic Helvetica fonts with their closest OpenType relatives. I've been reading Adobe's official FAQ messages and forum postings on this type of transformation, and while I feel better informed than before I still have some uncertainty. My preference for this replacement is to get the closest metric matches to the fonts already in use in my files, secondarily a close (if imperfect) aesthetic match, and with the family name being of a lesser concern (i
