Our organization has purchased the Myriad Pro font for use in generating billing statements. Our primary line of business application includes built-in PDF conversion capability, and the Myriad Pro font has been installed on its servers used to render print jobs, either directly to a Printer, or Print to PDF.In the on-screen "Print Preview", the application displays the text correctly how it should look:However, when the resultant PDF is then opened in most browsers and versions of Adobe Reader, the text looks a bit different and what is supposed to be bold is not:We've tried viewing the PDF file in Reader versions 9-11, on machines with and without the Myriad Pro font installed, and checking and unchecking the "Use Local Fonts" setting in Adobe reader to no success. We have had some users view the correct document using Foxit Reader, or Google Chrome, but have not been able to get a replicable pattern of success/failure.Any suggestions or assistance from the community would be very he

I am copying and pasting from Powerpoint into an InDesign document and the Chinese fonts, which normally work fine, show up as boxes. I am selecting several different Chinese font types (i.e. SimHei and Heiti SC), but all show boxes where characters should exist. Thanks, in advance for your assistance.

Hello.I am developing a Mobile game for Android, and I can't stop thinking about if i am in the clear when it comes to the use of fonts. I've searched the web, but can't really find a clear answer.I am using only font embedded in photoshop/illustrator, and only displaying them in static content, such as Images/logos. So my question is, am I in the clear, or do I need som kind for special license for this?FYI I am mostly using the MonoType Impact font. I stumbled over this though, its Monotypes Imaging EULA for fonts ( I think). Hi,I've recently purchased/licenced the font families Arno Pro Opticals and Warnock Pro Opticals, but have noticed that the version numbers are several behind those listed on the Read Me files (Arno Pro Read Me and Warnock Pro Read Me). Hello,as you can read in the title I am currently developing an iPhone App. I purchased the Adobe CS5 Design Premium and already used it to create graphics.My question is if I can use Myriad Pro in my App and if I need to purchase a new license.The font will be encrypted in the iPhone App-file later and cannot be extracted. So it would fit "printable" and according to the font licensing-tables Myriad Pro is "editable". But I am unsure so I wanted to ask here first.RegardsPaul

Hi, I am a Designer and Animator. For experimentation I started a personal project a couple of weeks ago and made a unique cel-animation for every capital letter of the trade gothic font. As starting point I used the Adobe Trade Gothic LT font. After I was done with the animation I was pretty happy with my animations so I want to share the results on my website. So my question is if there is a license problem if I make the animated letters available on my website (one psd file for each letter with my drawing) for other people interested in this kind of animation. Since this is a project started for personal studies there is no commercial aspect involved.Any helpful answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I purchased Minion Pro a long time ago and love it, except ... it uses the ISO set of superior letters. I transcribe a lot of 17th- and 18th-century documents, and they use superior letters not in the ISO set. In Minion Pro Read Me it says that version 2.030 created 2007/08/16 has a full alphabet of superior letters. How can I upgrade from my version of Minion Pro without a full superior alphabet to a version with a full alphabet? --Thanks!

I am now on the free version of creative cloud. My paid subscription ended July 4th. However as of today, my typekit account says my portfolio plan is still active with my creative cloud subscription. Is the portfolio plan included with the free version? Or is this just a bug? I want to renew my typekit portfolio plan, but there is no option to do so. I don't want my fonts to suddenly disappear one day. Please advise.

I installed a very complete set of styles of an opentype font with Font Book – Mac OS X 10.9.4 – but when I tried to format a sample text on InDesign CS5.5 I noticed that I could not use the opentype features on the Open Type menu as I usually do.Could anyone help me, please?

I am still a little confused as to how the new Creative Cloud TypeKit works and how it will or will not effect our workflow. We currently use Extensis Universal Type Server (UTS). We have a team membership license for Creative Cloud. Does TypeKit interject itself before fonts are loaded from UTS? If fonts are downloaded to the desktop from TypeKit do I need to copy these into UTS? Should my users mix and match fonts acquired with UTS and TypeKit or maintain the status with UTS? Can you disable TypeKit if this is the case? How can we resolve conflicts with fonts if UTS and TypeKit are running? Do we need to purchase fonts now that with TypeKit the claim is all fonts from Adobe are free with CC membership? How does this interact with UTS? Does Adobe still sell fonts if TypeKit being part of the CC subscription implies the complete catalog is free? How are font licensing issues handled with TypeKit? Purchased this font from Adobe years ago.  Have transitioned to several computers but in moving from our old Dell with Win 7 to new  Dell XPS with Win 8.1 it asks for more than the two files that I transfer to fonts folder.Do I need to obtain this from Adobe?

Have tried to install Myriad Pro Fonts manually on a windows 8 & 8.1 machine with office 2013 64 bit but it seems that the office products like work, excel do not pick up the right font even though its comes up as Myriad Pro in the font list.I have logged this Microsoft as well but still haven't had much luck. In Office 2010 it used to work fine as it a 32 bit product. Print Preview Word 2013You can see that when printed it brings the (C) from Page 2 to Page 1. Whereas in Word 2010 it is fine, it will print exactly what is shown above.Any assistance will be much appreciated.Thanks

Since I became a member of creative cloud, my font book will not stay connected.  I have to re-enable all fonts every day.   I also do not have fonts that I had prior to using creative cloud.  Also, when I open InDesign files created prior to updated to the most current version of InDesign through creative cloud, I have to find the font.  please help

I'm trying to print a pdf that I cannot manipulate. It has some color on the document, but the majority of the pages are black text. When I print it, there is a dark halo around the letters in the text. I've tried printing it as a pdf and taking into photoshop and printing from there, but they look the same. I've turned over black overprinting, no help. But, when I open it in photoshop and convert it to grayscale, the halo is gone. Help!

my clients brand requires we purchase a font, so we can design their application. We dont own the font. Can we charge the customer for the purchase given they need us to use it for their brand design?

Adobe InDesign has a Font Folder inside the Application where you can load fonts for InDesign only. Why can’t they come up with an Adobe Font Folder that will not only load fonts for InDesign, but also any Adobe App like Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat & Dreamweaver? Typekit does this, Plus shares the Fonts with MS Word but I cannot use my Existing Font Library.

So,Really weird bug I've noticed. Our client has provided us with Frutiger LT Std. type family and Photoshop. We are using the fonts for their designs, but instances of the same font look different. Let me explain...If I apply Frutiger LT Std. 65 Bold to a headline at 20px, it looks fine. If I make a new layer and apply the same font treatment, it renders like a semi-bold (note: there is no semi-bold in our Frutiger font family); the difference is clearly visible. If I create a character style from the correctly displaying headline instance, and apply it to a new line of type (or an existing line of type), it displays incorrectly as a semi-bold font. If I duplicate a correctly displaying headline instance, the duplicate will do the same thing. However, if I drag/copy the correctly displaying headline instance, it displays correctly and looks fine. It's a small bug, but it's causing big inconsistencies in our design and taking a lot of time to fix.I've tried deleting the fonts and re-in
