Adobe story no ON LINE installation

Like Adobe story, I helped to give some ideas, but I can not understand why it should work online.

My material is safe on another PC, not connected to the internet, so things work in the professional world, even to ward off the dangers of computer viruses or attacks.

Why can not I install on a PC not connected to the network?
