Am I allowed to ask someone to tutor me remotely for payment?

I'm trying to add some subtitles - which are all ready and written in Word - to a film to support the rather poor soundtrack.

I've followed help and guidance from Adobe tutorials and forums but CANNOT crack it.

Hence the question. I'm running against time on this so would welcome direct help rather than struggle through with written guidance.
