Question

any way to set wacom PEN to relative mode vs. absolute?

HELLO i've searched the  forums for this issue but cannot find it--

it's QUITE tricky---DEALS  w/ a  real health/RSI hand-problem:

I need to switch wacom's PEN mode from absolute to

relative  coordinates

[NOTE: i've tried all the  tablet pref's & properties BUT

i'm  only able to  map-changes to the

tablet's "live" area [i.e.   changes  the overall active-region  YET

will not change the relative  versus absolute mode for PEN use]..

wacom's intuos3 seems only  to allow their

MOUSE to  work in relative mode, not the Pen..meh..

I have serious  hand-health RSI problems & it turns out

that the relative mode is  BEST  for

me yet i cannot get the PEN to work that way-- it only  works in

absolute-coordinate-mode..

I've been to wacom's OWN site &

yet  i received no info

(also tried posting this to CGsociety & a few other

top-notch-CG  sites))..

--I'd guess that someone would have a  mod/hack 4 this
perhaps  using "tablet-file" located in
an   application data folder named "WTablet" which i've been
reluctant  to tweak on-my-own as i'm not that tech oriented..
THANX   in advance for any help,
Rob  M.

Wow that was hard to read.

Yes, you can do that - it's in the Wacom control panel/driver settings.

(on some tablets there was even a set of pre-programmed buttons at the top that did it)

hello Chris, my apolgies re: >wow that was hard to read<....Well,   it turns out

that i'd posted this to a few other forums/boards on  the net & most of the

replies i received were questions that

just required me to give all those details-- so this time i made  sure i spelled-it-all-out..

((ALSO, i have severe OCD---obsessive  compulsive disorder---so my post was

actually not as long as it  would'a been if i hadn't edited-it-down))..

    meh..

SO u  suggested that this CAN be done using wacom's settings..?..CAN u  give

    details please..

My intuos3 doesn't seem to have any setting that i've been able to

successfully  find so far -- I tried both of these::

    1) Tablet Pref's,

    2) tablet Properties..

THANX in advance for more info.... rob

This forum is to comment on how the forums operate, it is not for support for products

You should contact the vendor of that product... or find an Adobe forum where that product is used (Photoshop?) and ask the people who use the product with their Adobe software
