Hi all,

Here's what we released on April 6th, 2020:

Performance

  • [2321] - Performance degradation fixes: fixing various areas where crawlers get stuck on href links

Account Settings

  • [2035] - [Account Settings] Notifications Tab: various spacing and padding issues
  • [2168] - [Account Settings] Notifications Tab: when "turn off email notification" is checked, user is still getting email notification
  • [2261] - [Account Settings] Following Tab: performance and loading tab fixes

Sign in/Register

  • [2363] - 'Sign In' and profile button should not be visible together

Reading Posts/Replies

  • [2341] - Show a tooltip when hovering over timestamp of replies
  • [2343] - Images should be bigger in order to solve questions
  • [2269] - Updated embedded image rules on conversation page
  • [2330] - Pagination fix: On clicking back button, url is changed but content is not
  • [2361] - Remove errors related to stats strip on pages other than conversation page
  • [2329] - Update breadcrumb string & treatment
  • [2333] - Replies spacing and padding issues
  • [2334] - Correct Answer spacing and padding issues on Community Page & Conversation Page
  • [2344] - Label color change for Announcement & Featured for accessibility and color contrast requirements
  • [2385] - Should show more than 10 3rd level replies in conversation
  • [2396] - When clicking on jump to correct answer, page should land right above user avatar instead of reply text
  • [2398] - When clicking on latest reply, page should land right above user avatar instead of reply text
  • [2399] - Spacing Fix: [JPN]:String 'Learn More' is flowing out of banner
  • [1276] - Copyright and metadata such as color profile should not be stripped from image on download
    • Some additional info here - we essentially had to revert to a previous image upload feature. That keeps the copyright and metadata of images upon download; however, sometimes, when uploading multiple images at one time, you will see a "server is too busy" error. When that happens, please try uploading the image(s) again. Additionally, by reverting to an older version of the feature, we no longer have the ability to resize gifs. While there are constraints with this fix, we want to make sure you can upload your creative work to the community and be able to learn from others' metadata.

Create/Edit a Post

  • [2349] - Post a Submission Page spacing and padding issues
  • [2353] - Post submission in Mobile view spacing and padding issues
  • [1599] - Option to attach a file when creating a post should be bigger and allow drag & drop

Move/Merge Conversations

  • [2235] - Move board 'Moderators' and its content to 'Back Room' (Completed)

Moderating Spam

  • [2351] - [Conversation Page][Spam Report] If we mark a post having no replies as spam, number of replies count is shown as -1 & jump to latest reply link appears
  • [2357] - [Conversation Page][Spam Report] When we mark a post/reply as spam & view the thread from spam quarantine, page number in the url gets changed to 0

  • [2358] - Marking a reply as spam eliminates all replies made afterwards, even if not nested

Related Conversations

  • [1330] - Updated Correct answer icon for Related Conversation

Thanks,

Melissa

@Ann We know Adobe are clinging on here because of some future planned forums that will be something different. There they may work so the fact that don't in all the existing forums seems to be of less importance.

What am hoping is that people will agree with me that emailed replies will not get nested and will always go to the end of the thread. That would make these forums better while still leaving the nesting that Adobe are reluctant to pull, even though some staff support it and it has cost the support of some experts.

Your own reply is nested so I'm guessing that was emailed.

Does that mean SFTW might be coming back?

Indeed. I may need a few others to share the contribution of starter images whilst we are locked down and I can't get out and take them but I'm thinking that one through now.

These are two big pluses!!  But it would still be nice to have an actual timestamp visible.

I am not seeing anything there about nested replies but there is a welcome change.

Pages now have just one Blue button where using that will put the post at the bottom of the page while the black text Reply "buttons" will nest things. That is something that users can be educated about.

A remaining problem that I see is that emailed replies are automatically nested. With the emails I deal with automatically going to the end of the thread would be a better option. What do others think?

On a separate note, please can the default reply box be at least twice its current depth?

If you ask me nested replies are not going to go away.

They are just stalling for time and hoping we will give up eventually.

I kind of agree Ann. It's a shame.
