Broken Adobe account: will anybody help?

I'm here with a new account assigned to an email address that I do not want to use for forum communications because my regular account is broken, and there seems to be no way to fix it.

When I try to log in with my regular username and password I get a message that says the username or password is invalid.

When I click the "forgot my password" link I get a message that Adobe is sending me an email to help me fix the problem, but no email ever arrives. (Yes, I've checked the junk mail folders both in my mail reader and on my ISP's mail server. And I've tried this several times on different days.)

When I try to define a new account with my standard email address I get a message that the address is already in use. (So no, the emails are not going to some old address that I've forgotten I signed up with.)

If there's anyone from Adobe monitoring this forum, please help! Your system seems to have locked me out and left no way even to notify you that something is wrong.

    Orthodux, Pat,

As far as I remember, John has said that he checks the following account far more often,

    http://forums.adobe.com/people/adobe-admin

so there may be faster help that way.
