changing password problem

I almost successfully updated my password to a generic one that my company uses but it came up with an invalid password for following reasons: -

  • does not contain your name or email address
  • is not commonly used or a previous password

Very strange, have never had this type of problem before.  The format i am using (not the actual password) is

nnn$nnn4Nnn so meets most criteria for being a safe password.

Do you have to use the company generic? I suspect that while your company is happy with the requirements for your generic password that it doesn't meet Adobe's requirements.

If you scroll down this page, it will tell you both how to reset a current password and the requirements Adobe set for valid passwords.

Repetion of the same character is unsafe and easily cracked.

    Safe passwords = 10  - 17 unique, upper & lower case, alpha-numeric characters.
