Decimal Style not rendering as required

We created a multilayer style with numbers and alphabets. When we apply, it is fine for some time and then it changes to upper letter alphabets without a decimal. Please see the screen shot. I have attached the style screen shot as well.

    I assume this is related to AEM.  Adobe Experience Cloud is still on the old forum software.
