FAQ missing

Why is the FAQ for each forum missing when viewing posts? We say "reset prefs per FAQ," then the user reads it and... where is the FAQ? Not on the page where they might need it. The FAQ box must be the one ALWAYS visible for every type of page that might exists.

    You want the FAQ link to show up on every page? There are enough issues that need fixing right now that I'm happy enough if we can tell people to click up to the index page and look for the link in the box. I think that was generally about the best way we had in the WebX forums as well.

    I see no reason why an FAQ link relevant to each particular forum shouldn't be in the sidebar of every page. And I can't imagine that it'd be too difficult to make that happen. J.C./Jive could enable the widget-box to hold the link(s), and the various hosts could add the links.

    While we're waiting for the problems that clearly need to be worked on to be fixed, it might be nice to be thrown a small goodie to hold us over until the larger issues are taken care of. We deserve something for offering suggestions and for spending a LOT of time helping to troubleshoot this mess.

    At least it would make some of the navigation easier.

    Well, the FAQ links are available in the right-column box in both the Photoshop forums' index pages. Can't say much about the other forums...don't have the time to chase after even the ones I used to visit regularly, so I'm concentrating on Photoshop right now.

    There are more additions that ought to be added as well. I sent John C. a tailored set of "Associated Links" for each of the Photoshop forums...just waiting for him to get around to adding them.
