I think i have  found why...

you can not unzip the installer into a path with some non-english letter, just as "c:/中".

    Thinks for the reply

the intaller program was frozen up at the "installing Adobe Flash Buidler4 Plug-in" step. There are some info "installing...", but did not made any more progress for a long time(over 3 hours). The same thing with another PC. I have to reintall the beta2, and it was all ok.

You did check the list of supported platforms and noticed that Windows

2003 is not in it? http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/flex/systemreqs/

and when you do, include some information why you "can not" install it - do you get any error messages, or what exactly is happening?

ARRGH Adobe - "told you so".  (Not directed at you John, just Adobe's poor marketing and product renaming.)

Actually Flash Builder 4 questions belong in the Flex forum, not the Flash forum.  It's only been a few days since release, I wonder how long this confusion is going to last...

Flash Builder 4 = Flex Builder 4, the version following Flex Builder 3.  So no, not a strictly "Flash" product.  Anyone still confused, I'm not sure what to say, Adobe supposedly did this to avoid confusion, but it seems to be creating more than it's avoiding, as many Flex developers warned.

Flash Builder 4 questions belong in the Flash Builder forum that Adobe

is in the process of setting up. With the distinction being made between

the Open Source Flex SDK and the closed source Flash Builder IDE I would

find it logical that the Flash Builder forum will go under the Flash

category. That would be the place to ask about installing FB, how to

change the code highlighting preferences etc, while the Flex forums are

for the actual programming regardless of the IDE people use. (I would

prefer a forum showing up under both categories, but that is not

possible in the current version of this software.)
