Forum notifications question

How do notifications work?

When I leave a comment, there's a checkbox

I want to receive notifications only when smb replies to my comment (or tags me).

But I get them after each new comment in the topic, even though it's not mine.

Any chance to fix this?

Here's another curious bug (aka feature)

But in the topic itself I see the "Follow" button. It's logical that I should see "Unfollow".

This means that the button is not matched with the personal account setting.

Click your Forum Avatar and select Account Settings > Notifications.

Check boxes beside all options you want applied, uncheck boxes you don't want.

Hit SAVE button.

Here's what I've got now. I'm afraid if I turn everything off, I won't get any e-mails on the comments in my own topics.

I don't receive forum generated emails. It created too much clutter in my inbox. I check my Notifications panel (bell icon) once in a while.
