Forum "Preferences" stuck on wrong time zone

The forum "Preferences" are stuck on wrong time zone for my account, and any attempt to save the correct time zone (Pacific) results in an error message in the Preferences page, and it jumps back to Mountain Time, regardless of what other time zone I attempt to save, including in Europe and Asia.

Tried several browsers, including Safari and Firefox on the Mac.

Not a biggie, but a bit disconcerting.
