Question

Get rid of the the region popup

If you are in the US, you are probably unaware of this, but when you google how to do something in an Adobe product and inevitably get a result from adobe.com, clicking through from another place in the world pups this annoying popup over whatever page you go to:

Are you visiting adobe.com from outside your region? Visit your regional site for more relevant pricing, promotions and events.

Over time, this becmes a really really really REALLY annoying. You cannot appreicate it if you live in the US like the person who made the popup.

Perhaps if it's so important that you put the popup on the site (as opposed to just chaging the way your site works), maybe just stick it up on pages where the visitor is actually looking to buy something, not get support? Or, I dunno,  use a cookie to determine that the vistor has been here in the last couple of months (at least) and redirect (still awful).

I live in the US and I am absolutely aware of what you are talking about! It happens when the URL contains a country code.

    1. Here is an example for Finland:

I only come across this occasionally, and in this case I forced the issue by adding the country code "fi" for Finland (Suomi).

    https://www.adobe.com/fi/creativecloud/plans.html

    2. Here is the same site with the country code for "fr" for France

    https://www.adobe.com/fr/creativecloud/plans.html

As I understand it, though, if there is no country code, as below, the site will automatically re-direct to your country. Can you try the one below as well as the ones above for Finland and France and tell me if all three work as expected?

    https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/plans.html

Being in the US, I cannot test the link without a country code.

EDIT: I fixed the third link that was not supposed to have a country code. Thanks Dave.

    Jane,

Your last link takes me to France (with the pop up because I am in the UK)

I see you have edited the last link - it now sends me to the US site, with a pop up stating it doesn't match my location and a button that offers to take me to the UK site if I click it.

The country associated with your adobe id must match the store you purchase from and must match the payment address. otherwise, change what's necessary:

change country associated with adobe id - https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/change-country-associated-with-adobe-id.html

change credit card and/or billing address, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/update-billing-information.html

    change currency - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1999694

    change store - http://www.adobe.com/store_selector/storeselector.html

    change adobe.com website language - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1999693

Solution: Use a browser that accepts cookies and does not have script blockers or VPN enabled. 😉

    Hope that helps.
