Why does the support page lead me in circles when I try to contact a "real person"?

To ask a question in an Adobe product forum, go to the Adobe Support Community, sign in with your Adobe ID, select the relevant product forum, and click "Post to community" or "Ask a Question." Provide a clear title and detailed description of your issue, including the product version, operating system, and any error messages or screenshots. Submit your question and check back for responses.

    Thanks Robert!
As a seldom visitor to these communities I found it very difficult to find
my way in, especially when you’re only looking for advice on a matter
that’s not covered in FAQ pages.
Maybe I was just looking in the wrong places, but really, it shouldn’t be
    that difficult.

Adobe are all about great products. There are SO MANY different ones. It
can get complicated & difficult to keep up with changes, updates &
    improvements.

A clear path to help, like the one you have offered, would not only be
extremely helpful, but unclutter forums with annoying basic questions like
    mine!!

    Thanks again.

for anyone having a problem finding the correct spot to post a question, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

but don't waste time. we all know the adobe website, and forums in particular, are not easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post so you get helped.

Adobe Customer Care hours vary by region.  Your best chance of reaching a rep is during normal business hours -- Mon-Fri.   Contact Customer Care

If you need help with a product, use the product forums.  Often your questions will be answered by fellow product users in less time than it would take you to reach Customer Care.

You talk to a real person by going to the forum for your program and posting a question, just like you did here

To ask in the forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/

Any real person who reads your question, and thinks he/she has an answer, will reply

Which product forum are you looking for?

From any Forum Overview page, scroll down 'til you see the the Still have questions? pane.  See screenshot. Then click on Start a new discussion.

For best results, use a desktop computer.  IMO, the mobile view is not very friendly.
