How do I upload an image to my profile from my website?

I want to take an image from my website and upload to my profile page.  I have tried to resize the image to 276 x 276 but it resizes to 276 x 207 and will not upload.  Can anyone help?

    What units are you talking about: pixels, millimeters, inches, ...?

    Image uploads will fail if the format of the file is not supported. Try with a regular 8-bit RGB JPEG image, but note that using your forums profile for commercial advertising is not tolerated. The image gallery is to show off your own creative work, nothing else.
