How to update the profil status (or disable the message: has not updated …)

I found this older thread: My Profile Status?

Hi John T Smith,

I can't see an option for updating my status - neither in the option window nor in the profil edit settings. Which setting exactly is needed for this? And there is no option to remove or disable the message "You have not updated your status yet".

    The user "status" is part of the blogging system, which is disabled for security reasons.

      That locked discussion of from 3 years (and who knows how many Jive versions) ago... so I really have no idea
