Question

I keep getting a forum error: "Sorry, unable to complete the action requested"

Many times, when I type a reply to a forum post (and it takes me 2-3 minutes to complete the reply) I cannot click on the "Post" button because an error has appeared that says "Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested". So it would seem that I have lost all my typing, and the reply never gets sent.

Why is this happening and how can I prevent it?

This rented forum software is supposed to be replaced in January, so my GUESS is the current forum is not being given much attention by the software owner

The frustrating time-outs are less frequent today.  Let's hope it lasts.

You and everyone else.

I sometimes get timed-out multiple times in one post. The forum is almost unusable.

Highlight & Copy what you've typed so far (Ctrl+C).

Hit F5 to Refresh page.

Paste clipboard contents into a new reply (Ctr+V).

Post before it times-out again.

Copy the text before clicking reply. If it wont post, refresh the page, and reply again by pasting and clicking reply again.

It's a glitch that sometimes happens.

We will have a new forum host by the end of the month, so a fix won't be addressed.

+1 with @Peru Bob .

I either copy immediately if I remember or I do it as soon as the page begins to hang. For me, it works with the second try.
